Can Money Buy You Happiness?
One thing that you will always hear from a lot of people is that money can’t you buy happiness.
Have you ever noticed that this kind of advice usually comes from broke people.
- Guys who are working dead-end jobs and have been trying to climb up the corporate ladder for the past 30 years.
- Guys who have filed for multiple bankruptcy’s and are stuck in a HUGE amount of debt.
- Guys who are trapped in dead marriages and always seem to be experiencing relationship problems.
The people who usually tell you that money can’t buy happiness are usually poor. These people don’t usually know how to make money otherwise they wouldn’t be stuck in the current situation that they are in.
This is another one of those conventional feel good sayings: “Money can’t buy happiness”.
My response to this is usually: “Perhaps money can’t buy happiness but it sure beats being poor. That comes from a guy who has experienced both”.
Being poor certainly does NOT bring you happiness.
Always having financial struggles and worries does not bring a man happiness (and if it does then something is definitely wrong with him).
Wondering how you are going to pay your rent next month does not bring a man ANY happy feelings whatsoever.
But right now you’re probably wondering my definitive answer: Can money really buy you happiness or not?
Can Money Buy YOU Happiness?
The short answer is “No”. Money can NOT buy you answer.
But… what money CAN buy you is FREEDOM which ultimately leads to you experiencing much more happiness.
Money buys you FREEDOM to live the life that YOU want to live. Money affords you the FREEDOM to do the things that YOU want to do. Money gives you the FREEDOM to tell people “NO” and not worry about any repercussions or offending anyone.
Money allows you to live a life of choice.
Money allows you to spend more time with your family if you so choose. Money gives you the opportunity to spoil your kids and your loved ones to a vacation or a family trip.
Money gives you the opportunity to become a more consistently happier man. It gives you the chance to have a positive impact on those around you and uplift everybody’s spirits.
Being a broke man makes you a failure and doesn’t bring you any joy or happiness.
Being poor SUCKS. I hated it, I despised every moment of it, and I devoted all of my energy EVERY SINGLE DAY to turning my financial situation around.
That’s the essence of what makes a great man.
He gives himself a goal and he accomplishes it without making ANY excuses. He has a mission in life and he refuses to let bullshit get in his way.
He does not pity himself, he does not make up any excuses, he simply focuses ALL of his attention on succeeding. Nothing more, nothing less.
Remember this sentence: I’d rather be tired than broke.
Real men are responsible. I mean really freaking responsible. When you fail at something you don’t EVER point fingers at other people. When you fail, you only point at yourself for not trying hard enough.
You want something, you earn it with sweat and blood. You keep crashing forward and stay more stubborn than anyone else when it comes to your own success until you literally FORCE every situation to fall in your favor.
That’s what poor and broke people fail to understand. You are responsible for your OWN success. No one else but YOU.
If you fail, you look at yourself in the mirror and you use that anger to become even more productive. You push, you persist, you stay motivated and you NEVER give up.
Can money buy YOU happiness?
I don’t really know, but that’s not really the important question to ask.
